YOUR HOUSING GROUP'S
YEAR IN NUMBERS:
In 2017-18 we built 177 new homes, a number that will increase over the coming months. We let 3,383 social homes, spent more than £20m on improvements to our existing homes and carried out almost 60,000 repairs.
Although our turnover fell compared to the previous year, we continue to make savings through better procurement, reducing the cost of empty homes and tackling other business costs.
We need to improve our repairs service and how we handle complaints. The move to an in-house repairs contractor, while delivering better value, led to a fall in repairs completed on time although, we still complete 9 out of 10 on time. As a result, your satisfaction in the service has fallen and we have seen a rise in complaints. We are working to improve this as a matter of priority, together with better communication, so you understand the service you can expect from us.
On a more positive note, we generated more social value through community projects in partnership with our suppliers and helped customers to access almost £2m of benefits and grants.
