Welcome

Bernie Keenan, Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Director (Services and Growth)

Welcome to our annual review for tenants which details how we have performed throughout the last financial year.

We hope that you enjoy reading this year’s annual review for tenants in what is our 25th year. It has been a busy year for us. We have:

  • Spent £22.6 million on improving and maintaining our existing homes
  • Supported more than 40,000 people through our Progress Lifeline service
  • Built 85 new homes.

We pride ourselves on seeing each customer as an individual. I am particularly proud of the work we do to support our tenants when times are hard. Examples include helping our customers to secure £463,382 in benefit income during the year; and working with 163 customers to help them into training, education, volunteering and employment opportunities.

This report provides an overview of all the services we deliver to tenants. It highlights some of our main achievements, tells you what we think we are doing well and where we need to improve. We would love to hear your feedback and would welcome any comments you may have.

There are lots of ways you can give us feedback. You could write to me at Sumner House, 21 King Street, Leyland, Lancashire, PR25 2LW or use our feedback form on our website www.progressgroup.org.uk/feedback.You are also welcome to ring us on 03333 204555.

There are also many ways to get more involved in Progress Housing Group to influence how we work. Over the last year hundreds of tenants have taken part in focus groups, estate walkabouts, surveys, scrutiny reviews and much more. All of these things really do make a difference. Last year tenants have helped to shape our online services including helping us to improve live chat and develop the new online tenancy account area on our website. If you would like to know about getting involved, please contact the Progress Involvement Team on 03333 204555.

In the meantime I would like to thank all of our customers who have provided us with feedback and been involved with the organisation throughout the last twelve months and look forward to hearing from more of you over the coming year.

Bernie Keenan

Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Director (Services and Growth)
